Ribble Valley Christian Convention 2026

Saturday 8thAugust to Monday 10thAugust

2019 saw the bicentenary of Harrop Fold Chapel. Originally built in 1819, by the Wesleyan Methodists, whose founder, John Wesley had passed through the Ribble Valley in April 1784. In 1996 the Chapel became independent and since that time has been the home of Harrop Christian Fellowship.

This Convention is a venture in the life of the Chapel, both celebrating 200+ years of Christian Worship in this place and also 30 since becoming an Independent Chapel. We thank God for all that is past and trust Him for all that is to come.

CONVENTION THEME

The theme of this Convention is -

“It is time to seek the Lord until He comes”

(Hosea ch 10 v 12)

Bible based teaching – Christ centred worship. Enlightening, uplifting and encouraging God's people.

All are welcome to this Spiritual Feast of Anointed Preaching and Singing.

On display in our “upper room” will be a limited display of Wesleyan commemorative pottery, mainly from the Victorian Era.

Modern bicentenary mugs and souvenir pens will be on sale. A free leaflet containing a short history of the chapel will be available to all.

We are trusting God for the success of this weekend and hope that it will continue to be a source of blessing to many, of what has become an annual event in the life of this Church, serving the people of the Ribble Valley and beyond. If you share in this vision, and would like to be a part of planning for the future, please make contact with Norman Pearson at any time during the weekend, or alternatively write to us or email us at harropchapel@aol.com

FINANCIAL

An offering will be taken at each meeting, simply to defray convention expenses. Any excess will be donated to the work of Wyresdale Children’s homes.
